The CITB-ConstructionSkills Levy & Grant system is designed to promote training. As a statutory body, the industry and Government ask us to collect an annual levy from all liable construction employers. We then redistribute this grant to employers of every size in the form of Grant.

This helps us to provide assistance in all aspects of recruiting, training and qualifying the workforce.

In 2006, we distributed £113 million in training grants. This equated to £1.90 for every £1 paid in levy. The funds we offer as a grant don’t just come from the Levy. We work on behalf of the industry to tap into funds from many different sources such as the Learning and Skills Council.
