CPCS Industry Roadshows

CPCS is running a series of roadshows with employers and training providers, over the summer months, to gain feedback on all aspects of the scheme. These roadshows are essential to the development of the CPCS scheme – enabling the plant industry to influence the CPCS management committee and CPCS policy.

Chaired by the CPCS chairman or vice chairman, the roadshows will also be attended by management committee members and senior staff who administer the scheme. Key topics of discussion will be:

• The relevance of/getting the NVQ
• Transferring cardholders from red to blue
• The CPCS Logbook
• Future developments that may have an effect on the scheme e.g. CITB Grants, the launch of SkillsDirect

Trevor Gamble, Chairman of CPCS, commented: “This is an opportunity for employers and training providers to ask questions about the CPCS scheme. The morning session will be aimed at employers and in the afternoon to training providers. Feedback from the roadshows will be collated and presented to the CPCS management committee. Training providers will also be asked to complete a survey, as part of this process”
