Don’t miss the deadline for CITB-ConstructionSkills Supplementary Payment

Employers must take action by 31st July 2006 to qualify

Last year CITB-ConstructionSkills made some changes to the way in which Supplementary payment was made. Levy payers now receive an additional Supplementary payment on top of every CITB Grant claim as it is paid, rather than quarterly as in previous years. The change was made to help employers’ cash flows and make it easier to reconcile payments.

To ensure employers qualify for their 25% Supplementary payments, by 31st July 2006 they must have:

• Submitted their completed 2005 and 2006 CITB Levy Returns
• Paid the resulting 2005 CITB Levy assessment* or set up a direct debit agreement to pay by instalments

To further assist employers, new online services for CITB Levy Returns and direct debits are now available. For further information, log on to: www.citb-constructionskills.co.uk/citblevy and select Your CITB Levy Return.

CITB-ConstructionSkills is undertaking a series of communications with employers in the industry to ensure that they do not miss out on this additional CITB Grant support.

* Supplementary payment is not applicable to firms where a 2005 CITB Levy Return resulted in a nil rated CITB Levy assessment.
