As a partner in ConstructionSkills, the Sector Skills Council for Construction, these initiatives are carried out by us as a SSC to understand and better position the construction industry in the context of government policies. There are two key strands to our activity:

• Strategic initiatives that shape the products and services we offer and align with opportunities contained in government policy.
• Activities to try to influence government and its agencies to develop policies that better meet the needs of the construction industry.
