CONSTRUCTION-RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE GRANT REF: A19

Grant is available for planned work experience that lasts four or more consecutive weeks and forms an integral and essential part of a construction-related technical or professional course.

What training is supported by this grant?

  • Planned work experience lasting for at least four consecutive weeks which provides industrial training that forms an essential and integral part of a construction-related technical or professional course.
  • Overseas planned work experience.
  • Work experience temporarily undertaken with another firm for the purpose of broadening the students understanding. In this case the grant continues to be paid to the main employer.

What training is NOT supported by this grant?

  • Any periods during which the student is:
 

    - attending other grant-aided training

    - on holiday

    - on the college/university part of the course
