For people who want to build a career in working with suspended ceiling fixing, relocatable portioning and dry- lining fixing and are motivated to work hard to become valuable members of the construction work force.
The course has been designed in close consultation with the interior systems industry sector and is offered as part of the Apprenticeship programme. The training is designed to provide a sound working knowledge of a wide variety of industry skills that will prepare apprentices, for further career progression and to work competently on site.

Ceiling Fixing
- Installing suspended ceiling systems
- Installing suspended ceiling cavity barrier systems
Partitioning (not in Scotland)
- Doors: hanging, fixing locks and furniture
- Removing and relocating aluminium framed partition systems
- Installing relocatable aluminium framed partition systems
- achieve SVQ Level 3, further training is required in the following supervisory units: • Site measurement and surveys
- Planning and organisation
- Monitoring, control and evaluation of operatives
- Complex interior proprietary systems.
Entry requirements
All candidates will be required to complete a Skills Learning exercise, and some will need to attend the college for further tests.
