Steeplejacking

Who’s the course for?

People who have a healthy respect for heights, who are interested in pursuing a career in this unique profession and motivated to work hard and become valuable members of the steeplejack workforce.

Course aims and benefits

The Steeplejacking course is offered as part of the Apprenticeship programme and aims to prepare apprentices to become responsible and skilled workers in the field of steeplejacking. The training is designed to give apprentices a sound working knowledge of a wide variety of industry skills that will prepare them, for further career progression.

The steeplejack industry has set up its own apprenticeship scheme for a career as a Steeplejack. Apprentices obtain a safe working knowledge of laddering and means of access, together with a practical appreciation of the skills and techniques that are required to work within the varied world of the steeplejack.
