The National Construction College East, situated in north-west Norfolk, is our flagship residential training facility and is the largest of its kind in the world.

Established in 1966 by CITB the college boasts over 450 acres of training area, much of which is put to use for practical operative training.
More than 4 acres of covered facilities allow training to be carried out all year round. Lecture rooms are well equipped with modern audio visual aids.
All courses are run by experienced, qualified instructors all of whom have worked in the construction industry.
The subjects covered at the National Construction College east fall into 3 main categories:
Plant

Including operation and maintenance of heavy equipment

Access
|
Including scaffolding, steeplejacking and other associated disciplines

Construction
|
Covering anything from conventional drain laying, site surveying right through to new modular building techniques and partitioning

Residential leisure and catering facilities
|
The college’s residential complex can accommodate up to 160 trainees. All rooms are comfortably furnished with a single bed, study desk, colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
Residents can use the on-site leisure amenities, including a 25 metre indoor heated swimming pool, multi-gym, squash and tennis courts. Sports equipment can be hired at the centre.
Meals are served in the modern self-service restaurant. Youth and adult delegates have their own recreation clubs, the latter including a well stocked bar and TV lounge.
