Facilities – Main college
|
The main site of the National Construction College Scotland is at Edison Street, and the majority of training is carried out here. Over 200 candidates can train at any one time across a wide range of courses at any one time.
The college has a large, undercover area which houses the plant mechanics and a purpose built building for scaffolding training. There are also lecture rooms, conference facilities and a canteen.
An additional field annex in nearby Queen Elizabeth Avenue covers about five acres.
The field annex is used for earthworks, confined spaces and general construction training, including training for the Construction Plant Operators Scheme for the Certification of Training Achievement (CTA) and the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991.
